GREAT NEWS!
EURASIAN WATER MILFOIL HAS DECREASED!
Keiser and Associates, a limnology group and our specialist, Dr. Pullman, reported the invasive aquatic Eurasian Milfoil (EM) "has reduced significantly throughout much of Pine Lake". He went on to say "when comparing the early 2019 survey to the late season survey EM has lessened significantly". "Biodiversity, structural diversity and nuisance conditions all seem to have improved from 2018 when comparing both 2018 and 2019 early season surveys".
This means the herbicide treatments were effective.
Please note: We will have pods of EM on the lake in areas where lakefront homeowners have not given permission to treat, but in the other areas, EM has significantly lessened.
