Candadian Goose Egg Collection - (Goosebusters LLC will come to the lake 2 x between April 12 and 22)

Each year, PLPOA hires Goose Busters LLC and the DNR to humanely remove goose eggs before they hatch. Removing the eggs reduces the amount of droppings and protect against e-coli in the lake. Please report any goose ‘loitering’ during this nesting period in early April. Contact info@pinelakemi.com so the eggs can be removed by permit via Goose Busters, LLC. Once the eggs hatch, it is too late. This practice has been very effective and is used on many other area lakes. To learn more scroll down to “E-Coli Control - Goose Egg & Nest RemediationHERE

During per-COVID years the annual meeting was held at the Pine Lake Country Club. Based on member feedback, we plan to continue online meetings for the forseable future. We appreciate our members support as we manage the lake and provide safety measures for everyone.

Goose Buster's collect nests and eggs for the second time this spring

This annual event is designed to help reduce E Coli out-breaks on the lake. Each year we ask members to report goose gathering areas, likely nest areas . PLPOA hires licensed and DNR permitted, Goose Busters, LLC to humanely approach the reported nest areas by boat and remove eggs (and nests) before they hatch. Goose Busters collects eggs and nest two times during April. By doing this we have been able to manage the amount of geese on the lake, thus lessening the potential for Ecoli outbreaks. Through your reporting efforts we have removed many eggs over the years. Thank You!
